Foundations / On-Ramp

New Members β€” Required

Every new adult member starts here. Our 4-week, 8-session Foundations course teaches the core CrossFit movements in a small-group setting β€” at your pace, with dedicated coaching. You'll learn the lifts, the lingo, and how to scale every workout before you ever step into a group class.

The heart of CrossFit. Daily WODs (Workouts of the Day) that combine strength, conditioning, and gymnastics in constantly varied workouts. Every class is coached, every movement is scalable, and the energy in the room will push you further than you'd push yourself alone.

Ages 5–12

Fun, age-appropriate functional fitness for kids. CrossFit Kids classes build body awareness, coordination, and love of movement through games, challenges, and scaled CrossFit movements. No competitive pressure β€” just kids moving, having fun, and building lifelong healthy habits.

Ages 13–17

Teen-appropriate CrossFit programming that meets adolescents where they are β€” physically and mentally. Teens build strength, endurance, and confidence in a structured, positive environment. A healthy alternative to screen time and a community they'll actually want to show up for.

Open Gym

Members Only β€” Post-Foundations

Extra training time for members who want it. Come in during open hours to work on skills, make up a missed WOD, or do accessory work on your own terms. Coaches are present to answer questions and keep the environment safe. Available after completing Foundations.

Optional Add-On β€” All Levels

One-on-one coaching with a CF-L2 or L3 certified coach. Perfect for members who want to accelerate progress on a specific lift, work through a limitation, or prepare for competition. Also a great option for athletes with specific health or injury considerations.

Coach Sarah M. has been coaching CrossFit in the Severna Park area since 2015 β€” the same year ACME CrossFit opened its doors. A CrossFit Level 2 Trainer with 8 years of coaching experience, Sarah has helped hundreds of local adults, teens, and kids find their fitness and stick with it. She's coached first-timers who'd never touched a barbell, and competitive athletes pushing for elite performance.

Her coaching philosophy is straightforward: meet every athlete exactly where they are, build sound movement first, and let the results follow. No ego, no shortcuts, no leaving anyone behind.

How CrossFit Actually Works

CrossFit is defined as constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. That sounds intense β€” and it is, scaled to your level. Every class follows the same structure. Every workout challenges you. Every workout is scalable for any fitness level, including complete beginners.

Warm-Up

10–15 minutes of dynamic movement to prepare joints, activate muscles, and prime your nervous system. Never skip this β€” and we never let you.

Strength / Skill

Coach-led instruction on a specific lift or movement. This is where you build the technical foundation β€” barbell work, gymnastics, or Olympic lifting β€” with real coaching every rep.

WOD

The Workout of the Day. Timed, tracked, and scaled to your level. Could be 10 minutes or 30 β€” always functional, always intense at your intensity. This is where the community energy comes alive.

Cool-Down

Structured recovery β€” mobility work, stretching, and breathing. Your coaches use this time for individual feedback and technique coaching. The cool-down is part of the workout, not optional.

Every movement in every WOD has a scaled version. If you can't do a pull-up, we'll use a band or a ring row. If you can't lift Rx weight, we find the right weight for you. The workout is the same class β€” the stimulus is matched to the athlete.
